Focused Acoustic Technology

Precision mechanical energy designed for targeted wellness support.

Abide Wellness uses OMNIWave focused acoustic technology to deliver controlled acoustic energy to targeted areas as part of personalized programs supporting circulation, comfort, mobility and physical performance.

Non-invasive. Personalized. Designed around your goals.

What Is OMNIWave?

Focused Electrohydraulic Acoustic Technology

OMNIWave uses electrohydraulic technology to generate acoustic waves that can be directed toward targeted areas at selected depths.

Unlike broad surface-level stimulation, focused acoustic technology is designed to concentrate mechanical energy within a defined area.

At Abide Wellness, OMNIWave is incorporated into individualized wellness programs based on the area being supported, your goals and your response.

What Is This Technology Designed to Support?

Circulation

Connective Tissue

Circulation

OMNIWave is intended to provide a temporary increase in local blood circulation, making circulation support one of the foundational ways we discuss this technology at Abide.

Comfort

Connective Tissue

Circulation

The device's listed intended uses include relief of minor muscle aches and pains. At Abide, it may be incorporated into programs focused on comfort, movement and physical function.

The device's listed intended uses also include activation of connective tissue, providing another reason focused acoustic technology may be incorporated into personalized wellness programs.

The Science of Mechanical Signaling

Understanding Mechanotransduction

The human body constantly responds to physical forces.

Mechanotransduction describes the process through which cells sense mechanical stimulation and translate it into biological signals.

Acoustic and shockwave technologies use mechanical energy rather than medication, light or electrical stimulation. Researchers continue to investigate how different forms of acoustic energy interact with tissue across a range of applications.

The technology, energy level, treatment depth and application all matter, which is why research involving one acoustic or shockwave device should not automatically be assumed to apply to every device or every wellness goal.

Focused vs. Radial: What's the Difference?

Focused Acoustic Energy

Focused technology is designed to direct acoustic energy toward a selected target and depth rather than dispersing the majority of the mechanical energy from the surface outward.

Radial Pressure Wave

Radial systems generally distribute mechanical pressure outward from the applicator across a broader and more superficial area.

Although “shockwave,” “acoustic wave” and “pressure wave” are sometimes used interchangeably in marketing, the underlying technologies are not necessarily identical.

Why Abide Uses OMNIWave

Targeted Application

Individualized Programs

Targeted Application

Focused energy allows the practitioner to direct mechanical stimulation toward a selected area rather than relying solely on broad surface-level application.

Adjustable Depth

Individualized Programs

Targeted Application

OMNIWave is designed to allow the application depth to be selected based on the area being supported.

Technology is only one part of the process. We consider the area being supported, your goals and your response when developing a wellness program.

About Abide Wellness

Focused Wellness for Movement & Mobility

Focused acoustic technology may be incorporated into Abide wellness programs supporting back, shoulder, knee, hip, foot and other mobility or physical-performance goals.

Your recommended program depends on the area being supported and your individual goals.

Men's Performance & Circulation

Some men explore acoustic-wave technologies when researching circulation, erectile function and intimate performance.

Research into acoustic-wave technology for erectile dysfunction continues to evolve, and this application is considered investigational in the United States.

Abide Wellness does not diagnose or treat erectile dysfunction. Men's wellness services are provided as non-medical wellness support, and new or unexplained changes in erectile function should be evaluated by an appropriate licensed healthcare provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@abidewellness.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

OMNIWave uses focused electrohydraulic acoustic-wave technology. The term “shockwave therapy” is commonly used broadly online, but technologies marketed under that term can differ in how mechanical energy is generated, focused and delivered.

Understanding the specific technology being used is important when comparing devices, research and wellness applications.

No injections or incisions are involved in an OMNIWave wellness session. Acoustic energy is applied externally through a handheld applicator positioned over the targeted area.

Sensation varies depending on the area, energy settings and individual sensitivity. You may feel repetitive mechanical pulses during the session. Your comfort and response are considered throughout the application.

Program length depends on the area being supported, your goals and individual response.

Abide offers structured wellness programs rather than assuming that every person or every area requires the same number of sessions.

Is Focused Acoustic Right for Your Goals?

You don't need to determine that on your own.

Tell us what you are experiencing, what you would like to improve and what you have already tried. We'll help you understand whether focused acoustic technology or another Abide wellness service may be an appropriate starting point.
